Get Your Client ID and Client Secret in HaloCRM
To integrate HaloCRM with Forethought, you first need to obtain your Client ID and Client Secret from your HaloCRM instance. Follow these steps:
- Log in to your HaloCRM domain.
- Navigate to Configuration > Workspace > Integrations > HaloCRM API.
- Click View Applications.
- In the top-right corner of your screen, click New.
- Enter a name for your application.
- Select Client ID and Secret (Services).
- At this stage, an initial Client ID and Client Secret will be generated. Copy the Client Secret now, as it will not be displayed again.
- After copying your Client Secret, navigate to the Permissions tab.
- Set the permissions to all:standard and all:teams, then click Save.

Integrate HaloCRM with Forethought
Once you have your Client ID, Client Secret, and HaloCRM domain, follow these steps to integrate them with Forethought:
- In the Forethought dashboard, go to Settings > Integrations.
- Enter your HaloCRM domain (the base URL of your organization’s HaloCRM instance), typically in the format:
https://[ORG_NAME].halocrm.io/
If unsure, check your HaloCRM account details or contact HaloCRM support. - Enter the Client ID and Client Secret you obtained earlier.
- Click Connect.
After a few seconds, your HaloCRM integration will be configured and ready to use. If you encounter any issues, contact your HaloCRM administrator or reach out to our support team.
